Marblehead Little Theatre announces Non-Equity Adult Auditions for Something Rotten!

Sunday, April 7 and Monday April 8 from 6:30-8:30 pm.
Actors should sign-up for a singing time slot and be prepared to attend a dance call only if asked to attend callbacks.
For the dance call, actors should bring appropriate shoes and attire. A short combination in the style of the show will be taught.
Auditions will take place at Marblehead Little Theatre, 12 School St., Marblehead, MA.
Callbacks: Wednesday, April 10 from 6:30-8:30 pm (a more specific time window will be announced if a callback is offered). Callbacks will take place at Marblehead Little Theatre, 12 School St., Marblehead, MA. If you are unavailable for callbacks, please let the casting panel know in your audition.

Please Prepare: Please prepare two 32 bar contrasting song selections in the style of contemporary musical theatre. (Sheet music should be brought to the audition, hole-punched in a binder, and an accompanist will be provided.)

About the Show: Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as “The Bard.” When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self, and all that jazz.
