Arsenic and Old Lace – Auditions

Marblehead Little Theatre is pleased to announce auditions for non-equity actors for “Arsenic and Old Lace,” By Joseph Kesselring

A black comedy revolving around the Brewster family, descended from the Mayflower settlers but now composed of maniacs, most of them homicidal.  Great fun, perfect for October.

Produced by David Foye
Directed by Honorah Tinti

Auditions will be held at Marblehead Little Theatre, 12 School Street, Marblehead, MA

Sunday, August 13 from 1:00-4:30pm
Monday, August 14 from 6:00-9:00pm.
Callbacks, if any, may be held on Thur, Aug 17 from 6:30-8:30pm.

Auditions are by appointment. Walk In’s will be auditioned as time permits.

Actors must be 18 or older. Actors should prepare a one to two minute comedic monologue. During auditions they will be asked to do a cold read of a scene as well.  We are looking for actors that are ready for a fast-paced, character-based theater experience, where physical humor, period immersion and comedic timing will enhance the wit of the script.
